The complete guide to Harmony

Harmony is an organic, caffeine-free loose-leaf herbal tea formulated for the perimenopausal years. It's built on raspberry leaf, hibiscus, lemon balm and lavender, with ginger root for warmth, and it's made for the phase when cycles change, moods swing, sleep breaks and hot flashes start appearing. Drink 1 to 2 cups daily. $29 for a 65g pouch, about 30 cups, or $11.60 a month on subscription.

Who Harmony is for

  • You're in your late 30s or 40s and your cycle length has shifted by a week or more

  • Your PMS got noticeably worse

  • You're waking at 3am and not getting back to sleep

  • New irritability or anxiety, strongest in the week before your period

  • Occasional hot flashes that have started showing up uninvited

  • You still get periods, even irregular ones

Who Harmony is not for

  • If you've gone 12 consecutive months without a period, you're in menopause and Balance is the better fit

  • If you're pregnant or breastfeeding. Raspberry leaf and lemon balm both warrant a conversation with your provider first

  • If you take thyroid medication. Lemon balm may affect thyroid function

  • If you take blood pressure medication. Hibiscus may lower blood pressure

  • If your main problem is heavy or unpredictable bleeding, that needs a doctor rather than a blend

Full ingredients

Organic raspberry leaf, organic hibiscus petals, organic lemon balm, organic stevia leaves, organic lavender, organic ginger root.

What each ingredient is doing

Raspberry leaf. A uterine tonic in the herbal tradition, and a natural source of magnesium, calcium and iron. It's here because you're still cycling, which is exactly what distinguishes perimenopause from menopause.

Hibiscus petals. Naturally caffeine-free and rich in vitamin C, an antioxidant that supports collagen production. It's what gives Harmony its bright, tangy character. Research has also examined hibiscus for blood pressure, which is worth knowing if you take medication for it.

Lemon balm. A classic nervine, meaning it's traditionally used to calm the nervous system. Some research supports its use for stress, mood and sleep quality. This is the ingredient doing the heaviest lifting for the mood and sleep side of perimenopause.

Lavender. Traditionally used for relaxation and sleep, with a small body of research behind its calming effects.

Ginger root. Supports digestion and circulation, with anti-inflammatory properties. Practical here, since digestive changes and temperature swings both turn up in this phase.

Stevia leaf. Natural sweetness to balance the hibiscus tartness, with no added sugar.

What it tastes like

Aroma: bright and floral, with soft citrus lift and a warm spiced undertone.

Taste: tangy and refreshing. Hibiscus leads with a clean sharpness, mellowed by lemon balm and lavender, sweetened naturally by stevia, and finished with a subtle ginger warmth. It's the most refreshing of the four rather than the most soothing.

How to use it

  1. Scoop 1 tablespoon of Harmony into a mug of hot water

  2. Steep 5 to 7 minutes, covered

  3. Drink 1 to 2 cups daily

  4. Many women find evening works best, because the lemon balm and lavender suit a wind-down routine and sleep is often the biggest complaint of this phase

Honest expectations

Perimenopause is a hormonal transition that lasts an average of about four years and can run considerably longer. Nothing skips it.

Herbal evidence in this phase is limited and mixed. Some women notice a real difference in mood and sleep, others notice very little. What we can say with more confidence is that a consistent caffeine-free evening ritual supports sleep hygiene, and sleep is the lever that makes every other perimenopausal symptom better or worse.

If hot flashes are your dominant symptom and they're disrupting your life, the most effective medical option is hormone therapy. That's worth an informed conversation with your doctor rather than a reflexive no.

Safety and interactions

  • Lemon balm may affect thyroid function and can add to the effect of sedative medication. Check with your provider if either applies

  • Hibiscus may lower blood pressure. Check with your provider if you take blood pressure medication

  • Ginger in large amounts may interact with blood thinners

  • Speak with your provider before use in pregnancy or breastfeeding

  • Certified organic, gluten-free, vegan, caffeine-free

How Harmony differs from Balance

This is the most common question we get, and the answer is simple:

  • Still getting periods, even irregular ones? Harmony

  • 12 months with no period at all? Balance

Harmony still contains raspberry leaf for uterine support, because you're still cycling. Balance is formulated for after that stops, and swaps in herbs aimed at hot flashes, night sweats and mood.

Women often move from Harmony to Balance as they cross that line. Some keep both: Harmony during the day, Balance at night.
